In the mid-1990's the Four Queens became a partner in the renovation of the downtown area and the creation of the Fremont Street Experience. In 1972 the Four Queens was sold to the Elsinore Corporation and they would own the hotel until bankruptcy forced the sale of the hotel in 2003.
